The water is crystal clear blue. The service was impeccable as well. If you are looking for a place to stay on Gili Air that is private, relaxing, has excellent sunsets, and amazing food, this is your place!
Well we’re staying for five weeks so that’s says it all. Brilliant location Unbelievable restaurant. Some of the very best food on the island and the staff are brilliant. Highly recommend
Mowies on Gili Air is a famous sunset restaurant which also have really nice accommodation. We have been at mowies fot 3 night and really enjoyed our stay. They made it comfortable especially at the restaurant part of this place.
Our stay at Mowies Gili Air was truly unforgettable. The entire staff was excellent, everything was beautiful, and the service was outstanding. The beach is stunning, the sunsets are absolutely breathtaking, and the food is incredibly delic…Our stay at Mowies Gili Air was truly unforgettable. What we will remember most are the many lovely conversations with the staff and the incredibly warm atmosphere. We honestly wish we could have stayed longer and we will definitely come back.
We already miss every single person there — the kindness, the helpfulness, and every daily “good morning” with a genuine smile on their faces. It makes us sad to leave such wonderful people behind.

But what makes this place even more special is the staff. Everyone is so friendly, kind, and helpful — you can really tell they do everything they can to make your stay perfect.
If you’re going to Gili Air: stay here. We honestly wouldn’t recommend anywhere else 💛

Not only was the vibe social and uber friendly, they also have blazing fast Starlink, which, on a tropical island, makes working remotely incredibly easy. All I can say is thank you, I’m a regular here and absolutely love the place.

I have stayed on Gili air since 2023, and am a long time traveler, and the rooms on Mowie’s are the best on the island. Well designed, clean, chic, if the rooms are available, grab it!!

Loved this place and our time on Gili Air. Lovely people and a chill atmosphere at Mowies resulted in a fabulous holiday for my husband and myself. We look forward to returning one day soon hopefully!

De zonsondergang is iedere avond te zien vanaf Mowies! Het personeel is ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam. We voelden ons erg welkom en men was altijd in voor een praatje. Via Mowies hebben we een snorkeltour gedaan waarbij we schildpadden, koraal en veel vissen hebben gezien. Goed geregeld! En over all een hele goede prijs!

Daarnaast houden ze strandbedjes vrij voor gasten en was niets teveel.

The food and drinks were excellent, and I also really appreciated the breakfast option for hotel guests – only 50,000 IDR, great value and a perfect way to start the day.
Such a special place – I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Gili Air!
